Ayant acheté une station d’accueil pour mon IBM Thinkpad T22 pour m’apercevoir qu’elle n’alimentait pas mon portable et qu’elle était trop profonde, l’ai ramenée au magasin pour l’échanger contre un simple réplicateur et une batterie (joli échange, gnik gnik)… Prenant soin d’emporter avec moi le CD vifQuoi, vous n’aimez pas le terme CD vif pour live CD ? J’en profitai pour faire négligemment une petite démonstration de Firefox, Thunderbird, Gimp (ok, GIMP si vous voulez mais…The GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP)’s authors insist that their software should be called and written “GIMP” (caps). My advocacy for calling this wonderful software “Gimp” instead of “the GIMP” : Please let the name Gimp become a word people can make their own, one that they use as the words chocolate or sunrise, one that they encounter in their daily life and is part of their universe. In French, it pronounces Gimp and not G.I.M.P. And by the way… for words… like ideas… can anyone claim to possess them ?), OpenOffice.org, Audacity, etc. C’est décidé, ils vendront des portables avec Linux préinstallé, à la demande, en amorçage simple ou mixte (avec Windows).

Il faut dire, comment résister à Ubuntu Breezy quand on lit le billet de Ploum sur la question. Et lui aussi, comme Samuel, quelle force de conviction et comme il décrit habilement la liberté comme une bonne habitude !
